School starts this week! Seriously, I don't know where the summer went! It's always a bittersweet time for me! I love having my boys home, however I'm thrilled to declutter, reorganize, and deep clean the house! It always seems to suffer during these months!
The school my boys attend is amazing! They don't require any supplies at the beginning of the year, so I always like to donate items throughout the year.
This year I made these for my boys to take to their teachers on their first day:
You wanna make one too?!
Here's how!
You will need:
1 box of Kleenex
4 packages of crayons (24ct)
4 packages of colored pencils (12ct)
6 pkgs of glue sticks (2pk)
1 box pencils (24ct)
1 small styrafoam cup
2 rubber bands
curling ribbon, crinkle paper
(I went with Target's Up&Up brand because I liked the blue packaging)
First, tape the boxes of colored pencils to the sides of the Kleenex box
Place crayon boxes on top of the Kleenex box, place small cup in the center,
and stabilize with a rubber band
Place the pencils in the cup, then stuff crinkle paper around pencils (of course you can wait till the end to do the paper, but I got too excited!)
Place glue stick packs on the four corners, and use the other rubber band to keep them in place
With the remaining 2 glue stick packs, open the packages, and slide 1 gluestick underneath the top rubber band, next to the crayon boxes
Finally, tie your curling ribbon around both rubber bands to hide them
Thats it, you're done! Quick, easy, inexpensive gift for your teacher!
